Picking up here where I left off, sort of. Or at least picking up where I am. Lots of topsy turvy and end over end sorts of feelings resulting in some stasis of action. Sort of stuck in want of inspiration in regards to a direction...

I suppose I shall beware of family that makes one feel left out and un-necessary. Or perhaps the negative feelings arise from attempting to incorporate things that should just be left alone and by themselves, namely ME.

With the 2 of pentacles popping out almost immediately during the shuffle. Woke up this mornin' with those walking blues, but I wasn't walking nowhere because I didn't have no legs! Mama's alright now, cause I got a degree!

What's with all of this mumbo jumbo anyway? The cards would say that I am being torn in half by my gemini nature. They would remind me that it's important to remember that whatever I think is the most important thing in the world, and start doing with all of my everything will very soon become the exact opposite. The juggler can't hold his balls! Gotta keep flinging them up and around, ya know.

Since that moment this morning, so early as to still feel like last night, really, I have attacked all of those things that I have thought needed doing but for whatever reason have not been done. Namely, trying to get the scouts to yoga, trying to get the girls to yoga, trying to live up to the scout leader Thelma would expect me to be (happy birthday Grandma!), easy stuff. yeah.

I am listening to these Phish shows from UIC. The ones that happened while the family was adventuring out west. During the opening few tunes all I could think about was our time at Bell Rock with Ella, screaming that this was JUST NOT INTERESTING! But my next thought is of course, that while those particular moments could be gladly interchanged there is a whole lot of other moments that could not.

This spring has had no shortage of garter snakes, which is not odd. The odd part comes in when I can sense a snake in the vicinity before I see it with my eyes, can someone please explain how that works to me?

Our summer vacation has gotten off to a flying start. Both girls have gotten started on their work without any sort of difficulties and I have too. We will do our best to get some good work done each morning so that we can play for the rest of the day.

I had a very sad little monkey come home from the Kindergarten picnic yesterday. My heart breaks for her, there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscalculation and she did not get to have her face painted. It has been that sort of time for her, extreme disappointment is so heavy. These things teach us compassion, though, and as such are so very important.

I'll bet that Queen doesn't laugh enough. Keeping a fine balance of silly is important! I had some synchronous moments yesterday and today with regard to Abbey's relative size. As I was picking her up from Scouts last evening I noticed just how much smaller she is than the other kids. Then this morning as she was eating breakfast she was telling me a tale of bullying on the bus. The "big kids" would not allow her to sit at the back of the bus because she was too small, but they would let a tall kindergartner sit in the back. So we talked about what makes kids act mean sometimes and about how we have choices every day with how we respond to other people and how we treat other people.

Educating the masses to understand the metaphysics of the universe and how it applies to everyone sounds like a life mission I could get behind. I don't think that there is any doubt that my little string class needs to happen.

When I made the goals and rules that I am currently abiding by I placed myself out of commission until Ella is in school all day. That moment is fast approaching, but I have 8 months now until those restrictions lift. My thoughts were to fill my limited time with yoga first and music practice second with the intention of perfecting the body in order to increase mindspace and I still think that is a solid plan. So today is the day where we start it up again, these school breaks really wreck my motivation to do my own thing and then I wake up after the 2 weeks are gone and shake off the ennui that inevitably settles, but by then it just feels like starting over. So what if it does, better to start over than to give up forever I suppose.

My sourdough is in a sad shape! I had left it to stew in it's little crock in the fridge but today when I pulled it out to play with it it looks funny! And not in a good way. It smells fine, and by fine I mean super nasty in the sourdough sort of way, but it doesn't resemble any sort of sourdough I have ever seen before. I'm glad I didn't toss my sweetened sourdough...

So what is it that I want to do? I'd really like to master the fingerboard, once and for all and just be done with that.

One of my favorite parts is when I am in the car, headed out to play with a whole day of playing and some driving in between. I can tell that a hiatus occurred, things are not loose and flowy, not at all, but there hasn't really been that huge jump backwards. And here is the cause of my back pain, there are a bunch of swords sticking out of me! No wonder it hurts. William Blake says that contraries need each other to achieve their full expression. So the swords plus the reversed cups leads me to believe that things are in fact plugging along as they need to. This is only the second or third time I have pulled the Star since I started this card project a couple of years ago, I would love to attract some more of that energy into my world, but I worry that it would be selfish since I already seem to have it in abundance... My new sourdough starter has yielded it's first loafs, I opted to keep my old starter going as well since I put a little sugar in it and use it for the waffles. This fancy one will be for breads... what, I can't have 2 starters going?

My current knitting project is mostly frogged, but the last little tail is sitting there staring at me. I made an impulse pattern purchase and am quite remorseful about it. Now I must decide what to do with my leftover yarn? Shall I make 2 little dude sweaters for my 2 little dudes? Or would they rather have another Weasley sweater? Or perhaps I should try my hand at something fisherman-y since the yarn is so bulky? decisions decisions...

For xmas, I got a new sourdough starter. I have almost always as long as I remember had one going but this one is ancient! Mine always seem to get thrown out by overzealous fridge cleaners who think that anything that smells like that must be rotted yuck, but no! Ahhhh, sometimes the obvious is just so hard to perceive. This time of year does a number on me and a whole lot of it is just my own concoction. I was unprepared for this area's seasonal differences when I first arrived here, and proceeded to over react as a result of the shock for quite some many years afterwards. Recently, I have learned to enjoy this time of forced indoorsness, there is a lot of inner work that can be done. And adventuring out is OK, too, you just have to gear up for it.
