Page of Wands, 5 of Cups and the World reversed.  How very practical, this reading.  I am expecting a page to visit and he almost always brings me new ideas to ponder, the doom and gloom feeling is just sort of there, underlying it all and the reversed World points to the back uncomfortableness.

8 of cups, the Hierophant, 5 of swords reversed.  I was thinking about band practice.  This is the stuff of dreams, but that is old news.  The hierophant is the now, and that is probably me with my rigidness about the schedule and attitude about missing practice.  And the future 5 of swords is very problematic.  This was the old pattern, though, and I am doing it differently this time so it is just hard to say what the deal is.  I can only hope that there is another explanation other than the super negative.

Judgment reversed, the Chariot reversed and the 2 of swords reversed.  Well, here we are at the rest of my life.  It doesn't really feel any different yet but I can tell that it is going to.  I don't know why it is but always the day after I start practicing yoga I wake up early with nervous gut and nervous headache.  Ouch.

8 of wands, 7 of swords and 10 of swords.  That  of swords has been sneaking around making me feel uncomfortable.  I used to be an excellent sneaker, but it makes it hard to communicate effectively if too much of your knowledge is secret.  The 10 of swords is similar to death from the other day, as well as the horoscope which is warning against trying to fight things too much.  It's time to accept and accommodate.

5 of cups reversed, 7 of pentacles reversed and the king of wands.  I think these cards are a perfect description of my past 20 some hours.  I have had a low level nervous thing going on because I want to change our activity focus around here.  Resources are scarce and it is time to figure out where they should be allocated.  The piano teacher wants almost 450 bucks for the term, which is almost double our budget.  Ella has been wanting to take an art class for awhile now and there is finally one at a time that we could go.  Abbey wants to play soccer.  I am perfectly capable of teaching them piano, so it is not even like they would be quitting anything, I would just not pay for piano anymore so as to afford these other activities.  It seems so simple when it is all spelled out but I think my nervousness comes from doubting that I can effectively teach them, but the King of Wands could.

4 of cups, Wheel reversed and Death.  One week from today is the first day of school, which means one week from tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life.  I shall sit tight until then and not worry my pretty little head about how it's going to be, because it is all going to be different.

The High Priestess reversed, Justice reversed and the 5 of cups reversed.  It hasn't been smooth, the transition back to the real world from that place of expectations fulfilled and then the vacation, which has required another vacation in order to process it.  I love this time of year where it's not quite so stinking hot all the time, plus the new school year is just around the corner and I cannot seem to break myself of the habit of wanting to start up again with the kiddos.  I can't seem to shake this nagging irritation, it feels like it is coming from my perception of in equality...
